NEW YORK, March 5, 2026 — NextGen Coding Company today published the Enterprise AI Adoption Benchmark 2026, which maps where enterprise AI programs stop between pilot and production.
The failure clusters are not where vendor discourse points. Model quality is rarely the binding constraint. Programs stall on getting lawful, governed access to the data the use case needs, and on the absence of an evaluation harness that would let anyone say whether the system is good enough to put in front of a customer.
Both blockers precede model selection, which is why swapping models rarely restarts a stalled program. The benchmark sets out what the teams that reached production had in place before they started building.
